Boise, ID – Congressman Mike Simpson today announced his Campaign Co-Chairs, Governor C.L. “Butch” Otter and First Lady Lori Otter as well as U.S. Senators Mike Crapo and Jim Risch.

“I am grateful to have the support of these conservative Idaho leaders,” said Congressman Simpson. “They have always led the fight for the conservative values that make life better for the people of Idaho. I look forward to continuing to work closely with them as we fight to cut wasteful government spending, deal aggressively with the negative effects of Obamacare and stop the overreach of the federal government.”

“Congressman Simpson is a strong conservative leader with a proven track record of delivering results for the people of Idaho,” said Governor C.L. “Butch” Otter. “Mike has led the fight to help protect our Idaho way of life. I look forward to co-chairing Mike’s campaign and working with him to promote conservative policies and principles that will help Idaho thrive.”

Senator Mike Crapo voiced his support for Congressman Simpson saying, “Mike is a tried and true example of a conservative leader who gets results. Mike delivers conservative results in Idaho and in Washington D.C. on important issues such as balancing the budget and lowering taxes on hard working Americans. It’s an honor to co-chair his campaign.”

Senator Jim Risch announcing his support said, “I am proud to support Congressman Simpson because he has always fought for the issues and conservative values that matter to Idahoans. Mike is a man of character and conviction and exhibits these characteristics with every issue that arises in Washington D.C. I am proud to co-chair his re-election campaign.”

Congressman Simpson is a proud conservative who enjoys an A+ rating with the NRA and a 100 percent rating with National Right to Life. He has authored billions of dollars in cuts to the EPA, the delisting of wolves, and protections for Idaho’s farmers and ranchers. Simpson fought Obamacare by voting against it over 50 times, pushed a balanced budget amendment, and voted repeatedly to lower taxes on all Americans.
