Boise, ID – Congressman Mike Simpson today announced his re-election campaign has raised well over $1,250,000 in 2013, including more than $430,000 raised in the fourth quarter. The campaign currently has over $760,000 cash-on-hand and has already surpassed fundraising efforts for the entire 2011-2012 cycle.

“I am so pleased and humbled by the tremendous support we have received,” said Simpson. “Idahoans know I’m fighting to end Obamacare, co-sponsored the balanced budget amendment to end out of control government spending, and have worked hard to represent them and our conservative Idaho values in Washington. This record breaking fundraising year demonstrates the momentum we are seeing in this race.”

Simpson will be filing his full fundraising report with the Federal Election Commission by the filing deadline of January 31, 2014.

Congressman Simpson is a proud conservative who enjoys an A plus rating with the NRA, a 100 percent rating with National Right to Life, and annual recognition from the American Conservative Union. He has authored billions of dollars in cuts to the EPA, the delisting of wolves, and protections for Idaho’s farmers and ranchers. Simpson fought Obamacare by voting against it over 40 times, pushed a balanced budget amendment, and voted repeatedly to lower taxes on all Americans.
