Simpson to Report Record Breaking Amount Raised

Idaho Congressman sets new fundraising records, has $600,000 cash-on-hand

BOISE, ID: Idaho Congressman Mike Simpson today announced another record breaking quarter for fundraising in his race for re-election. Simpson is set to report over $437,000 raised in the quarter and over $600,000 cash-on-hand for his re-election effort. Both figures represent career quarterly highs for Simpson in a re-election campaign and improve upon his previous career highs last quarter.
“I couldn’t be happier with the response we are getting from Idahoans and with the strong momentum we are experiencing in this race,” said Simpson. “The people of Idaho know that I have worked hard to protect gun rights, promote a balanced budget amendment, and prevent the onerous impacts of Obamacare. The record setting response we’re seeing to my conservative message confirms that we are on a strong path to re-election.”
Simpson will be filing his full fundraising report with the Federal Election Commission by the filing date of October 15th.
Congressman Simpson is a proud conservative who enjoys an A plus rating with the NRA, a 100 percent rating with National Right to Life, and annual recognition from the American Conservative Union. He has authored billions of dollars in cuts to the EPA, the delisting of wolves, and protections for Idaho’s farmers and ranchers. Simpson fought Obamacare by voting against it over 40 times, pushed a balanced budget amendment, and voted repeatedly to lower taxes on all Americans.
